Green Candles
Most people arrive with the spot already chosen — a shelf beside the plants, a table laid in dark green, a window ledge that wants something for the evening. Green turns up here in more than one way: on its own, and alongside a second colour. Relief Candle ROSE Blue-Green, the bells in black-green with a golden patina, a large pinecone lifted with gold-green glitter, ANGEL in icy green.
The colour holds steady while the shapes go their own way. Pinecones, bells, small trees, boats with a single letter on the side, pyramid rockets, right triangles, the conical Grapes candles, a wide mandala that comes with its own stand. Candle Moon Butterfly green stands 5 cm, and a fair part of what is here goes considerably taller. Scent is a decision of its own: Green apple, Snowy pine, Mint, Rose, Jasmine, Wild strawberry, Black lily, Choco-coffee-cinnamon.
All of it is made by hand in Královské Poříčí, and a camera runs in the workshop, so the work is not something you have to take on faith. Two candles that look the same in a photograph can behave quite differently once lit, so the figures listed with each one earn a moment.
Choosing by the spot, and the first hour of burning
The surface decides more than the candle does. On a dining table, something wide and low leaves everyone a clear view across it: Mandala Candle Tree of Life Green – Vanilla-Apple sits on its own stand, 14 cm across, 0.18 Kg, and it runs 6-13 hours. For one long evening in a living room, the 12 cm pillars in Euphoria, Lavender and Cucumber Freshness weigh 0.2 Kg and hold 27-36 hours.
The same 12 cm covers rather different candles. Pillar Candle Dream and the tall slim Citronella pillar are 3.5 cm across, 0.13 Kg, 18-24 hours; Candle Tree MISTLETOE in icy green glitter widens to 7 cm at 0.169 Kg and 18-36 hours. Paraffin wax blend is what the relief pillars, pinecones, trees and bells are made of.

When the object matters more than the evening, Relief Candle Picasso carries three wicks, stands 59 cm, measures 10 cm across, weighs 4.4 Kg and burns 860-960 hours.
Trim the wick before the match. Give the first burn long enough for the melted surface to reach the rim — cut it short and the flame keeps digging a narrow shaft down the middle. Flat base underneath, nothing that catches, no draught. A lit candle stays where you can see it, and out of reach of children and animals.
