Vanilla-wild strawberry Scented Candles
Somebody has a dinner planned that matters, or the tree is up and the room could do with smelling of something other than spruce. Every one of these carries Vanilla-wild strawberry, vanilla and strawberry together, and some have a second scent alongside it. So the smell is largely decided before you start, and what stays open is the shape. The shapes split: hearts, spheres and relief surfaces on one side, snowmen, angels, trees, pinecones and pyramids on the other.
Where it will stand is worth settling before anything else. Some of these are broad and low, more surface than height, which asks for a clear table rather than a crowded shelf. The tall pyramids and the trees go the other way, height before surface, and they read from across a room. The smaller shapes, a snowman or an angel, tend to end up on a windowsill or beside a plate. What the wax is does not vary here — paraffin wax blend, right across the board. The deciding comes down to shape, height and hours.

Picking by height and hours, and the first evening
Start with the table. Large Romantic Heart Candle with Five Wicks is low and broad — 5 cm high, 19.5x14.5 cm, 0.9 Kg, heavier than anything else here, and rated 12-45 hours. That is a candle for a table people are sitting around, not for a shelf. At the other end, Pyramid Candle Tetrahedron 2 and Pyramid Candle Tetrahedron 1 stand 21 cm, the tallest here, at 0,23 Kg and 25-30 hours, while Pyramid Candle Pentagon 6 and Pyramid Candle Pentagon 5 are 11 cm, 0.15 Kg and 17-30 hours — the same shape idea in a lower build.
Weight is a poor guide to the hours. Small Pinecone Candle – Red, Vanilla-Strawberry, Handmade is 9 cm and 0.07 Kg, rated 18-24 hours. Candle Pyramid Pearls Glitter Icy Red – Handmade, Vanilla-Strawberry is 8 cm, 9 cm across and 0.178 Kg, rated 8-13 hours — heavier in the hand, fewer hours on the rating. Same with the trees: Candle Spiral Tree white-red with glitter effect – handmade and Candle Tree MISTLETOE – icy red glitter are both 12 cm tall and 7 cm across, but the spiral is 0.162 Kg at 18-24 hours and MISTLETOE 0.169 Kg at 18-36 hours. At the small end, ANGEL Candle – Icy Red with Glitter, Vanilla-Strawberry, 8 cm weighs 0.05 Kg and is rated 6-12 hours, small enough to sit at a place setting.
Trim the wick short before each lighting. The first evening matters: keep it alight while the melted surface is still working outwards, and only blow it out once that pool has reached the edge. End it sooner and the flame digs a shaft down the middle. Stand it on something level that cannot catch, keep it out of a draught, don’t leave the flame unattended, and keep it beyond the reach of children and animals.
