Angel candle in icy green with glitter – a hand-poured Christmas candle from Královské Poříčí

Height 8 cm, diameter 4.5 cm, weight 50 g. Material: paraffin wax blend with a cotton wick, burn time 6–12 hours. The angel candle in icy white-green with fine glitter made specifically for candles is scented with vanilla and cucumber freshness. We hand-pour it on the farm in Královské Poříčí in the Karlovy Vary Region, where our family workshop is based.

Angel candles have long been part of Christmas decorations. Every piece passes through our hands – we fill the mould with warm wax, let it set, take the candle out, finish it and decorate it. That is why no two pieces are exactly alike; small differences in the surface and in the spread of the glitter are part of handmade production.

Where to place the angel candle

Thanks to its compact size (8 × 4.5 cm), the angel candle fits almost anywhere:

• On the Christmas Eve table among fir branches and ornaments
• In an Advent wreath as an addition or as the fourth candle
• On a windowsill, shelf or bedside table
• As a small gift for family, colleagues or business partners

The icy green shade goes well with white, silver and natural materials – wood, jute, dried conifer twigs.

This angel is a standalone decorative candle with a diameter of 4.5 cm, not a tealight or a thin chime candle. So always choose candles for angel chimes according to the dimensions of your chimes.

Material and production

The body of the candle is a paraffin wax blend, and the cotton wick burns cleanly without soot. The glitter is made specifically for use in candles. We carry out the whole process – pouring into the mould, setting, removing, hand finishing and decorating – the same way in our workshop in Královské Poříčí.

The burn time of 6–12 hours applies to a calm environment without draughts. Before the first lighting, trim the wick to 5–7 mm and let the candle burn until a melt pool has formed across the whole surface. The wax will then melt evenly and the candle will last longer.

Fragrance: vanilla with cucumber freshness

The base is sweet, warm vanilla, which the cucumber freshness lightens into something cleaner. It is not a heavy, perfumed scent – it suits smaller rooms, a bedroom or a bathroom without overpowering the other scents in the home. As the candle burns, the fragrance builds gradually and its intensity settles after about half an hour.

Safety and care

• Place the candle on a non-flammable surface
• Never leave it burning unattended and keep it out of reach of children and animals
• Trim the wick to 5–7 mm before each lighting
• Do not light it in a draught – the wick bends and the candle burns unevenly
• The recommended continuous burn time is 2–3 hours
